Park Bo-gum’s ‘Good Boy’ Soars After Intense Episode 4!
JTBC’s ‘Good Boy’ (굿보이) reached new heights in ratings thanks to an electrifying June 8 episode featuring Park Bo-gum (박보검). The jaw-dropping episode snagged a 5.8% viewership rating in Seoul, marking the show’s highest yet!
The episode saw the Special Crime Unit close in on Min Joo-young (오정세) amid escalating tension. Team leader Go Man-sik (허성태) discovered a link between a smuggling figure dubbed "Monkey" and customs officer Min. A meticulously planned sting operation spiraled into chaos when another police division unexpectedly intervened.
In a shocking twist, Monkey was killed by an unknown assailant, complicating the already murky investigation. Further probes revealed smuggled vehicles connected to illegal arms and drugs involving Philippine insurgents and the Russian mafia. Corruption within the customs agency ran deep, especially after the suspicious death of official Lee Jin-soo, who had ties to falsified documents.
During a tense standoff, Joo-young attempted to escape the country only to be confronted by Yoon Dong-joo (박보검). Facing down his opponent, Joo-young sneered, "Try stopping me with the law if you can." But he underestimated Dong-joo’s resolve.
In a dramatic showdown, Dong-joo engaged “bulldozer mode” and sprinted across rooftops, ultimately positioning himself in front of Joo-young’s speeding car near a children’s zone. The scene was reminiscent of Muhammad Ali’s legendary moves, with Park Bo-gum channeling fierce determination to stop Joo-young cold.
Bleeding but defiant, Dong-joo proclaimed, “Violating a school zone, causing injury—you’re not making that flight. And I won’t be settling.” Justice was served, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats and eagerly anticipating what’s next.
‘Good Boy’ airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM KST on JTBC and is available globally via Amazon Prime Video.
