Park Bo-gum Faces Off in High-Stakes Drama ‘Good Boy’
Park Bo-gum (박보검) unleashed an explosive confrontation in JTBC’s weekend drama Good Boy (굿보이), which aired its gripping third episode on June 7.
A shocking twist unfolded as a mysterious watch revealed ties to a smuggling ring, igniting Dong-joo’s rage. Haunted by the death of his best friend Lee Kyung-il (이정하), Dong-joo confronts Min Joo-young (오정세) with the chilling warning: “Anyone who enters my ring always goes down.”
The episode kicks off post-hit-and-run, with Kyung-il unfairly taking the blame. During an emotional prison visit, Dong-joo pleads, “Just say one word. I’ll do whatever it takes to get you out.” However, Kyung-il is silenced forever by corrupt officials.
A crucial clue? A wristwatch from Kyung-il’s belongings matching that of a suspect known as ‘Golden Rabbit.’ Dong-joo insists, “This isn’t Kyung-il’s watch. It’s the same as the one Golden Rabbit wore.” Despite the evidence, prosecutors dismiss the case as a suicide.
Fueled by fury, Dong-joo confronts Joo-young, grabbing him by the collar and accusing him of murder.
“You killed him, didn’t you? You know Lee Kyung-il. Don’t act like you don’t. You gave the order!”
When Joo-young smirks, Dong-joo strikes back, officially declaring war.
Dong-joo follows with a fierce warning:
“Asian champion. National boxing rep. 21 fights, 21 wins, all KOs. That’s me. Run if you can. Everyone who enters my ring goes down.”
Meanwhile, Kyung-il’s mother ends ties with Dong-joo, stating, “I know it wasn’t your fault… but I can’t see you anymore.” The emotional blow intensifies Dong-joo’s resolve for vengeance.
Joo-young tries to file assault charges but later offers a conditional withdrawal. Dong-joo reluctantly accepts, firing back:
“If you have a shred of humanity left, you should be ashamed.”
