G-Dragon staff arrested en masse at Macau concert for illegal work
BIGBANG’s G-Dragon faced major disruption during the second day of his Macau stop on the Übermensch 2025 world tour. Just hours before showtime, videos went viral showing multiple concert staff being arrested by police.
Fans on Threads reported hefty police action targeting illegal workers among the staff. Most arrests happened at the merchandise tables, where fans claimed they weren’t even allowed to leave after buying goods.
One fan explained the arrests stemmed from scalpers’ revenge:
“The staff said they caught some scalpers yesterday, so the scalpers were angry and took revenge. They called the police and either told them the company hired workers who were under 18 or workers who came from Mainland China to sell merchandise as part-timers. The police had to take action since they got called. When the police arrived, all of the staff had to stop working and got their IDs checked.”

Another fan confirmed most of the arrested staff were working illegally:
“This is my first time seeing Macau police rush into a big event to arrest illegal workers. The majority of them were actually working illegally.”

Despite the chaos, G-Dragon kept the show going, performing his hits to a delighted crowd. Neither he nor his agency has publicly addressed the arrests or the messy scenes at the merch lines.
Fans continue monitoring the situation as the tour moves forward.
