Lee Ju Hyuk, the vocalist of indie band GIFT, is turning heads after refunding all ticket sales for his birthday concert. The social media post about his generous move has gone viral, racking up over 2.6 million views.
Fans were ecstatic as Ju Hyuk not only returned their ticket money but also included photo cards and handwritten letters with the refunds.
“Guys…Lee Ju Hyuk refunded all the tickets back in cash, along with photo cards and a letter…” a fan tweeted.
And it didn’t stop there. Ju Hyuk surprised concert-goers by covering drink costs for all fans who showed their tickets at the venue.
“They also paid for drinks to give to fans who showed their tickets, and they were the ones who made all the drinks,” another fan shared. “I was so touched that all the fans were crying together…”
The rationale behind refunding ticket sales? Ju Hyuk wanted to prevent any true fans from missing out if he’d held a free concert.
“He said this was the only thing he could do for fans…” a fan explained.
In a heartfelt handwritten letter, he pleaded, “Please let me know if I ever look like I’ve forgotten where I’ve come from.”
