He handled it with grace.
FT ISLAND‘s Lee Hongki recently made headlines for his composed response to an onstage slip during a performance.

As festival season kicks into high gear at Korean universities, bands have been lighting up stages across the country. FT ISLAND was among the standout acts on the opening day of Hayang University’s 2025 festival.
Their performance was electrifying, even as the group currently promotes as a duo due to controversy surrounding member Choi Minhwan.

However, during the performance, Lee Hongki experienced a slip while dancing near the front of the stage, landing on his backside. Remarkably, he didn’t let it phase him and continued to perform without missing a beat.
After the show, Hongki took to Instagram to reassure fans that he was alright. He even shared a clip of his slip as the opening image, showcasing his ability to laugh off the accident.
It was scary… and slippery…
But still, I’m so thankful. Thank you so much!!!!— Hongki’s post
Fortunately, aside from being a bit shaken up, Hongki was in good spirits and even made an appearance at another university event the very next day!
