SISTAR Bora got fired from SBS’s Star King for dozing off during filming
Bora revealed on BIGBANG Daesung’s YouTube show why she was cut from the popular K-pop idol variety program Star King.
The show, known for grueling 12-hour shoots, was notoriously tough for idols. Bora, alongside other second-gen idols like T-ARA Hyomin, Jewelry Yewon, and KARA Heo Youngji, called it one of the hardest programs to film.
Bora explained that after a long day filming the Idol Star Athletics Championships, she fell asleep during a math-related segment on Star King. The cameras caught it all, and she was “fired immediately.”
Instead of holding a grudge, Bora said she’s now grateful to have been let go.
“We had just finished the Idol Star Athletics Championships in the morning and went straight into filming Star King. And of all things, it was a math-related segment, and we all ended up dozing off. It was all caught on camera, so we were cut from the show. Now that it’s in the past… I can honestly say I was grateful to be let go!”
