G-Dragon is officially the honorary ambassador for the 2025 APEC Summit. The summit will be held in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 31 to November 1.
The announcement came from South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min Seok on July 23 KST. He hailed G-Dragon as a symbol of Korea’s creativity and innovation. He highlighted G-Dragon’s past achievements, including broadcasting music into space.
“From today, 100 days before the APEC summit, watch the synergy between G-Dragon and APEC unfold,” PM Kim posted, tagging G-Dragon and sharing a photo of himself holding the appointment plaque.
G-Dragon’s role is expected to attract global attention and enhance cultural appeal for the summit. It marks a significant intersection of entertainment and diplomacy.
