Red Velvet’s Joy revealed her younger sister’s face to the public for the first time.
Joy showed off her youngest sister, Ji Yeong, on the MBC show I Live Alone.
Previously, Joy and Irene hadn’t introduced their siblings’ faces, unlike the other Red Velvet members. Joy has two younger sisters, Ji Yeong and Min Ji, but kept them private until now.
On July 11, KST, the show aired a preview featuring Joy’s daily life and her visit to Ji Yeong’s newlywed home. Fans noticed Ji Yeong’s strong resemblance to Joy.
Joy took care of all the furniture for Ji Yeong’s wedding gift and brought additional household essentials on her visit.
The sisters were seen walking together, and Joy admitted,
“Since neither of us is even 30 yet, it must be hard to manage a household.” — Joy
Ji Yeong got emotional, thanking Joy and eventually tearing up. Joy consoled her,
“I hope you are happier than I am.” — Joy
