A real pioneer of his generation!
BTS‘s RM may be serving in the military, but his influence remains unparalleled. The latest testament to his global reach came during a high-profile American awards show, where he snagged a significant accolade.

On May 27, RM was awarded the American Music Award (AMA) for Favorite K-Pop Artist, marking a significant moment in his career.

This win coincided with the first anniversary of his solo album, Right Place Wrong Person, which has garnered widespread acclaim over the past year.

Introduced in 2022, the AMA’s Favorite K-Pop Artist category saw RM following the footsteps of BTS, who secured the inaugural win that same year.

This year’s competition in the Favorite K-Pop Artist category was fierce, featuring notable acts like BLACKPINK’s Rosé, fellow BTS member Jimin, ATEEZ, and Stray Kids. Each of these artists has had a remarkable year with their recent releases, but RM’s victory underscores his exceptional presence in the global music scene.
This remarkable achievement has amplified fan excitement as they await RM’s return from military service, which is set for June 10, KST.
