NCT WISH is facing major backlash over outrageous ticket scalping prices. A recent survey revealed around 5,000 reported scalping cases in three years, with a staggering 63.5% linked to music performances. Despite revisions to the Performance Act last year, which aimed to curb scalping, the problem persists.
The group’s upcoming concert, INTO THE WISH: OUR WISH, scheduled for November 2, originally priced tickets at 198,000 KRW. However, resale prices have ballooned to an insane 9,700,000 KRW ($6,913.51 USD), prompting shock among K-netizens.
Fans are questioning who would actually pay these inflated prices.
“First, second, and third place for the highest ticket prices are all SM? It’s so expensive, the agency needs to do something about it. It’s not just about selling out; the fans are getting tired of this.”
“The ticket scalpers for WISH and RIIZE are crazy…the problem is the Chinese scalpers.”
“Who’s going to buy that?”
With K-Pop concert tickets dominating the top spots on resale sites, the issue only continues to escalate.
