Rosé of BLACKPINK Reveals the Harsh Realities of Trainee Dorm Life

BLACKPINK's Rosé Exposed The Horrors Of Trainee Dorm Life

Rosé Opens Up About Traumatic Dorm Living Conditions Before BLACKPINK Debut

BLACKPINK’s Rosé is stirring up conversations after her candid stories about her early days training in South Korea. During a recent episode of JTBC’s variety show Sea of Hope, she revealed the not-so-glamorous reality of dorm life before her debut.

In a shocking confession, Rosé recalled living in subpar conditions, stating, “When I first came to Korea, I wasn’t even in the debut team. There were cockroaches. At that time, it wasn’t confirmed that we would make our debut. Due to that, we didn’t live in such a nice place.”

The comments have resurfaced past revelations where BLACKPINK described sharing their living quarters with unsightly pests—an experience many K-Pop trainees endure.

In the episode, Rosé also shared a room with AKMU’s Suhyun and actress Kim Go Eun during filming. The trio seemed to bond well despite the cramped conditions. Kim Go Eun expressed excitement over the experience, highlighting how it differed from her usual living arrangements.

Fans were quick to react, is it a simple case of reality versus fantasy? BLACKPINK has often showcased luxurious living spaces on their reality shows, making these stories even more startling for their audience.

This isn’t the first time Rosé and the members have opened up about their struggles. In a previous show, 24/365 with BLACKPINK, they discussed the shock of sharing space with insects, noting how Lisa was the only brave one to handle the creepy crawlies.

As BLACKPINK continues to dominate the global stage, these revelations remind us of the grit behind their glamorous facade.
