SEVENTEEN Scores Major Win with ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’!
SEVENTEEN has dominated the charts once again, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with their latest album, ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’. This matches their highest record ever.
Billboard’s preview revealed the album’s impressive debut for the chart dated June 14, tying their previous best set by ‘FML’ and ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’.
This marks SEVENTEEN’s ninth consecutive album on the Billboard 200, a streak that began with ‘Your Choice’. Seven out of those nine have hit the top 10, showcasing their undeniable global appeal.
‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ is off to a powerful start, topping the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart and breaking records with first-week sales over 2.52 million copies. It secured the No. 1 spot on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking and China’s QQ Music Daily charts.
The title track, ‘THUNDER’, is also making waves. It’s topped Bugs’ real-time and daily charts and hit No. 1 on Melon’s ‘TOP 100’. Additionally, it entered major global rankings like the Billboard Global 200 and the UK Official Singles Downloads chart.
Fueled by their success, SEVENTEEN claimed first place on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on June 8, marking a five-win streak on Korean music shows.
In their heartfelt speech, the members said:
