SM Entertainment Addresses Hearts2Hearts Airport Security Controversy

Security Incident

Hearts2Hearts is facing controversy after a recent incident at Incheon International Airport. Video footage surfaced showing a security guard forcefully pushing a woman by her neck and elbowing her face, sparking outrage online.

The controversy began on June 8 when the woman claimed she had a valid boarding pass. The security guard accused her of trying to physically push Hearts2Hearts members. Tensions flared further inside the airport shuttle train, escalating the situation.

In response to the backlash, SM Entertainment defended its security team. They claimed the woman was a stalker fan who attempted to approach the members aggressively.

“The security guard’s reaction was excessive,” SM Entertainment admitted, “but it was an attempt to protect the artists.”

Soon after, the company stated it has raised concerns with the security firm regarding measures to prevent repeat incidents. They also apologized for the disturbance caused and promised to maintain order during artist movements.
