BLACKPINK’s Jennie is opening up about her solo album struggles on the YouTube show Hot Ones.
Jennie revealed she had to fight hard to include certain songs on her 15-track album Ruby. She said the process involved tough creative decisions to keep the album true to its “core message.”
The idol stressed she didn’t want to “forcefully make the music easy for people to like.” Instead, she followed her instincts and chose songs she genuinely liked.
Jennie singled out tracks like “Zen” and “Starlight” as ones she specifically fought to keep on the album.
