Lee Mu-jin is facing controversy after a staff member’s alleged verbal abuse during a rehearsal for the ‘2025 Cheonan K-Culture Expo.’
The incident occurred on June 5 as Lee prepped for his opening performance at the Independence Hall of Korea. Footage captured during the rehearsal shows a staff member yelling, "Stop it. What are you doing right now?" This led Lee to walk off stage, sparking public outrage.
The expo organizers issued a formal apology, stating, "We sincerely apologize to Lee Mu-jin, his fans, and the attendees of the event for the unfortunate incident." They also revealed that the involved staff member has been removed from operations, and the agency faces a strict warning along with required internal training.
The city of Cheonan also recognized the severity of the situation, issuing a separate apology. Fans expressed shock over the disrespectful tone of the staff member, labeling it as unprofessional.
Big Planet Made Entertainment, Lee’s agency, emphasized the seriousness of the incident. They stated, "We are deeply regretful over the inappropriate and disrespectful behavior directed at our artist during the rehearsal." The agency plans to take legal action against the event organizers and production team.
