BoA Targeted by Malicious Graffiti Across Seoul
BoA is facing backlash after a woman in her thirties was arrested by Gangnam Police Station on June 13 for property damage and insult.
Channel A released CCTV footage showing the suspect, identified only as “A,” writing insulting graffiti on no-parking signs and utility poles in Gangnam. The vulgar messages aimed at BoA appeared in over 10 confirmed locations, including bus stops and billboards.
Graffiti is a criminal offense involving damage to public property, leading to charges like property damage and insult.
SM Entertainment responded:
“We have confirmed through fan reports and our monitoring of the graffiti insulting our artist BoA. We continuously monitor and will take strong legal action against illegal acts to protect our artists.”
Fans have voluntarily banded together to erase the offensive graffiti around Seoul. Police continue their investigation.
