Seohyun Stars in ‘The First Night With the Duke’—Love Triangle Heating Up!
Seohyun (서현) is garnering buzz as her role in The First Night With the Duke (남주의 첫날밤을 가져버렸다) shifts from supporting to central in a gripping love triangle with Taecyeon (옥택연).
In the third episode, aired on June 18, Seohyun’s character, Cha Seon-saek (차선책), collapses into Lee Beom (이번)—played by Taecyeon—launching their romance. Beom’s frantic efforts to help her lead to a showdown with a tiger while searching for healing herbs.
Seon-saek, haunted by past traumas—including college scandal and a forced leave of absence—grapples with her feelings for Beom while trying to uphold her role as a mere supporting character. She sets up a poetry event for Beom and Jo Eun-ae (조은애), the original female lead, but her plan backfires.
Beom’s focus remains on Seon-saek, as he ignores Eun-ae’s attempts to charm him. During a staged fall, things take a wild turn when Beom coldly turns away, leading to an unexpected plunge into a pond.
The drama escalates at a party where Seon-saek tries to ease tensions with bomb shots. When Eun-ae drunkenly declares herself Beom’s “black rose,” chaos erupts as a bomb shot ignites, forcing Beom to leap into the flames to rescue Seon-saek.
