Kim Min Jong faces buzz—not for controversy, but for kindness after a Rolls-Royce parking lot incident.
A woman in her 40s hit a parked Rolls-Royce around midnight in an apartment underground parking lot. She tried reaching the owner immediately but got no reply.
Twelve hours later, Kim Min Jong, revealed as the car owner, messaged her. He said he would inspect the damage in a well-lit spot, told her it was okay, and thanked her for the heads-up.
Kim Min Jong is well-known as an actor and singer. He debuted in 1988 with roles in hits like Guardian Angel (2001), The Return of Iljimae (2009), A Gentleman’s Dignity (2012), and Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days (2018).
He launched his singing career in 1992 as part of duo The Blue with Son Jichang. The Blue scored many 1990s hits and snagged the 1994 KBS Song Awards’ “Singer of the Year.”
Kim Min Jong spoke about the crash:
“The driver who caused the accident contacted me. It wasn’t a big deal, and since they are a fellow resident in the neighborhood, I took care of the repairs. Anyway, it ended well.”

He also shared surprise over the media attention:
“I’m flustered that this became such a big topic without any particular reason. I don’t have any particular thoughts on it; I handled it this way because we’re neighbors. I didn’t expect to receive this much attention.”
