BB Girls’ Minyoung addresses rumors of conflict after Yujeong’s exit.
The controversy began after Yujeong left BB Girls, formerly Brave Girls, in 2023. Fans speculated about tensions within the group following Yujeong’s sudden departure. BB Girls re-debuted under a new agency that year, but continued as a three-member unit after she left.
Minyoung spoke out in a June 16, 2025 YouTube video on One Make’s channel to clear up misunderstandings.
The often-misinterpreted holiday trip by the three remaining members sparked the rumors.
“The three of us went to a place called Bohol right around the time Yujeong left. Some people saw the photos and misunderstood, thinking it reflected internal conflict. Internally, we had already reached a degree of closure, but it wasn’t something we could publicly explain at the time.”

The trip was planned well before Yujeong’s decision to leave.
“I had been organizing the trip for a month. During that time, Yujeong made her decision to leave, and as a result, only the three of us ended up going.”

Minyoung also shared her emotional reaction to the sudden departure and the group’s outlook moving forward.
“It was unexpected. I remember asking, ‘Why? We don’t have any problems.’ But after spending ten years together, it’s natural that we each had our own thoughts. We chose to respect hers and support her decision. BB Girls is a group that was given a second chance by the public. Rather than chasing achievements, we want to live up to the expectations placed on us. No matter the challenges, we aim to be a group that lasts.”
