Wonho sparks controversy with Saja Boys Abby cosplay cover
Wonho is facing backlash after sharing an intensely detailed cosplay and cover of Abby from the hit Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters.
The idol started teasing fans on June 8 with a dance challenge dressed as one of the Saja Boys in traditional demon wear, performing his own track “Better Than Me.” On July 9, he dropped the full cover, nailing Abby’s look and even adding non-performance shots for maximum resemblance.
He performed “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol” vocals and choreography fully dressed in Abby’s signature style. Fans praised the accuracy and effort, calling it the "real Abby."
However, some online users criticized Wonho, accusing him of attention-seeking and mocking his motives.
