Yeom Yechan and Kim Taejo face backlash over company CEO’s shady past
16-year-old Yeom Yechan and 14-year-old Kim Taejo (TJ) from Boys II Planet are under fire due to their agency, Choco Entertainment.
Choco was founded in 2019 by producer Cho PD, notorious for management scandals. Cho PD previously ran Stardom Entertainment, home to Block B and Topp Dogg. Block B left after claims of unpaid wages for over a year. Topp Dogg’s leader P-Goon publicly demanded answers on missing tour funds.
Cho PD cut ties and transferred Stardom to Hunus Entertainment but got involved in a lawsuit with Hunus over finances. Hunus won, and Cho PD received a two-year suspended sentence.
The controversy spreads as fans question Choco Entertainment’s trustworthiness, especially since trainees are bound by a five-year contract, meaning the company profits no matter what.
A TikTok creator warned:
“get all those trainees out of this company”
Cho PD’s troubling history is casting a shadow over two of Boys II Planet’s most popular contestants as the show gains attention for both their talent and surrounding drama.
