My Daughter Is A Zombie just crushed the 2025 box office. This Korean comedy-drama tops the charts with over 4.3 million tickets sold as of August 16. It beat Hollywood’s F1: The Movie, starring Brad Pitt, which lags behind at 4.1 million admissions.
Directed by Pil Gam Sung, the film tells the story of a father who secretly trains to protect his daughter — the last zombie on earth. The cast includes Jo Jung Suk, Jo Yeo Jeong, Lee Jung Eun, and Yoon Kyung Ho. Their mix of humor and heart struck a chord with audiences, standing out from summer blockbusters.
Other big hits trail behind. Tom Cruise‘s Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning pulled in about 3.39 million viewers. The political drama Yadang reached 3.37 million. Director Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17 sits fifth with 3.01 million admissions.
Summer theaters are locked in a two-way battle between My Daughter Is A Zombie and F1: The Movie. Both keep drawing massive crowds weeks after release.
