BTS and SEVENTEEN fans are clashing after MagentaMusik made a controversial comparison online.
MagentaMusik, streaming Lollapalooza Berlin in Europe, pinned a post saying:
HOBI ARMY! You showed that you’re more badass/powerful than SEVENTEEN fans
The comment sparked immediate backlash from Carats, SEVENTEEN’s fandom. Fans slammed the post for dragging one fandom into praise for another.
“this comment by your socmed manager was so uncalled for. theres no reason for u to even include ‘carats’ there ? i wonder what was the thought process before clicking that send/post button.” – fan on X
Critics said the comparison was unnecessary and disrespectful:
“Again, dragging and mentioning a diff artist and fandom is so unprofessional and uncalled for. We r busy minding our own business here, you should’ve done that too.”
The online firestorm worsened due to a viral mistranslation of the post. Many fans mistook “cooler” for a dig at SEVENTEEN’s 2024 Lollapalooza set, which was marred by chaos from poor festival planning.
MagentaMusik’s social media account then went private, fueling even more frustration among Carats demanding accountability.
“What’s even worse is that @MagentaMusik went private after their disrespectful and unprofessional attitude towards another artist and fandom. I’m even more disappointed and disgusted now.”
The incident continues to trend with hashtags demanding respect and apology for SVT Carats.
