Where Is He Now? — The "Worst" "Boys Planet" Trainee Officially Debuts

Lee Daeul faces backlash for poor performance on Boys Planet after high initial ranking.

The Girls Planet 999 sequel Boys Planet ended with ZEROBASEONE’s final lineup. Several trainees stood out, but Lee Daeul, from 143 Entertainment, sparked controversy. Praised for visuals, Daeul’s performance skills drew harsh criticism from fans.

He ranked 4th in the first episode, then 9th in the second—positions many felt he didn’t deserve. His rankings kept dropping: 13th in episode 3, 46th in episode 4, before elimination in episode 8.

After elimination, Daeul announced his departure from 143 Entertainment, saying he would pursue dreams elsewhere.

“I will continue my dreams elsewhere.”

Surprisingly, Daeul reappeared on Starlight Boys, another survival show. Fans noticed a major improvement in his skills. He ranked 9th and debuted with POLARIX on May 28.

Daeul’s comeback proves growth is possible despite harsh criticism.
