Wonyoung from IVE Faces Backlash Following Controversy Over Her Outfit

"Likes Exposure" — IVE's Wonyoung Hit With Criticism After Bombshell Revelation About Her Outfit

IVE’s Wonyoung is facing controversy after her public appearance at a football match on July 30. The incident happened during the ceremonial kickoff at the “2025 Coupang Play Series” game between Newcastle United FC and K League XI held at Suwon World Cup Stadium.

Wonyoung wore a tight dress with a low neckline, drawing attention for her slim figure and visuals. However, many netizens criticized the revealing outfit as inappropriate for the public sports event. The stylist was blamed for poor judgment.

Soon after, IVE member Rei clarified that the members themselves picked their outfits.

“Aren’t our uniforms super cute?”
“We chose how we each wanted to reform the uniforms and asked the stylists to create it as such.”

This shifted the online debate. Wonyoung became the target of accusations that she deliberately chose the outfit to gain exposure. The phrase “likes exposure” began trending on online forums.

Comments included:

“Seems like she just likes exposure.”
“Was that what she liked? Got it.”
“Damn, people be overreacting just by people saying that she seems to like this LOL. It’s not even problematic to say, and Wonyoung looks pretty. The stylist is the only pitiful one here.”
“In past interviews, she also said she prefers skirts to pants. That’s why I thought she dressed like that today.”

This isn’t the first time Wonyoung’s fashion has sparked debate. As a prominent Gen Z idol, her wardrobe choices remain heavily scrutinized.

The controversy continues to gain traction online. No official statements from IVE’s agency have been made yet.
